at soutie, we don’t think salt should just sit quietly on the table waiting for its big moment at the end of a dish. nope. salt deserves to be part of the adventure—from the first sizzle in the pan to the final sprinkle before serving. that’s why we created infused salt flakes packed with bold flavours like shiraz, garlic, truffle, and more. they’re here to help you turn everyday meals into something a little more exciting (and a lot more delicious).

our story

our founder, paige, grew up in south africa, where food was always at the centre of family life. her mom taught her that cooking wasn’t just about feeding people—it was about sharing love, laughter, and flavour. years later, she wanted to bring that same spirit to the kitchen in a new way. the result? soutie.

the name soutie means “salty” in afrikaans, but it’s also a cheeky nickname for english speakers in south africa. we thought it was the perfect way to capture what we’re all about: a little playful, a little unexpected, and 100% tied to the warm, laid-back lifestyle of the country where it all began.



why our salts?

because cooking should be fun. too often, salt flakes are treated like they’re only for “finishing touches.” at soutie, we think differently. our infused salts are made to be used all the way through the cooking process—helping you layer in flavour, try new combos, and discover just how much a pinch of salt can do.
